Welcome to our Riding School
Our program is designed to help new riders feel comfortable, safe, and encouraged from the very beginning. We focus on creating a positive learning experience where riders of all ages can develop confidence, learn new skills and love horses while having fun!
Located near Martinez & Walnut Creek, CA, our horseback lesson riding program offers lessons, camps, and equestrian training for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a first-time rider or looking to advance your equestrian skills, we provide personalized instruction in a fun and supportive environment
Our lesson program focuses on the development and progression of our riders while building and supporting them through their equestrian careers by teaching foundational skills of horsemanship and riding. This includes mounted and unmounted skills.
Our Horseback Riding Lessons
We offer a variety of lessons tailored to your goals, including:
Beginner & Intermediate Riding Lessons: Perfect for riders who want to build confidence and improve balance, posture, and control.
Our instructors teach:
- Horse safety fundamentals
- Mounting and dismounting with confidence
- Basic and intermediate riding skills
- Proper use of reins, posture, and aids
Whether you’re 8 or 88, our beginner horseback riding lessons help you learn at your own pace.
More Advanced Training: For experienced riders ready to take their skills to the next level:
- Canter and posting trot refinement
- Pattern handling and rider balance
- Jumping small courses
- Getting ready for sponsoring and/or ownership
Not Quite Ready for Lessons?
No problem! For our littler equestrians who aren’t quite ready for lessons yet, we also offer plenty of chances to get comfortable and start learning about horses – with pony experiences!
We also happily offer Pony Rides and Pony Snuggles!
Pony Rides are 30 minutes of relaxed time in the saddle for our younger equestrians who aren’t quite ready for a full lesson. These do not include tacking/untacking instruction.
Pony Snuggles are 30 minutes to groom, pet, and snuggle (no time in the saddle). These are great for tiny tots and smaller equestrians who aren’t quite ready to join us in the saddle.
